I went to MSJC today and took my assessment test. It was just a test to see what English and Math class they need to place me in. I also applied for financial aid and the Board of Governors Grant today, (I didn't get approved for the Governors Grant because my parents make to much money). I should be hearing back in about a week or so about my financial aid.
I have an appointment at 9am tomorrow morning to meet with my counselor to discuss a schedule and possibly register for classes. I have yet to decide what my career path and major is going to be. Its a toss up between teaching (Kindergarten or 1st grade), or a Juvenile Hall Counselor (or a regular counselor). If I decide to become a teacher then I will either major in English or History, and will also get my teaching credentials. If I decide to become a counselor I will major in Sociology or Social/Behavorial Science. Hopefully the meeting with my counselor will help decide what I want to do.
The rest of the weekend is going to be VERY busy.
Tomorrow is my mommy's birthday!! :) She is going to be the big FOUR OH! (40!!). Bryan is taking the family out for pizza tomorrow night to do a little celebrating on her actual birthday. Friday we are going to be having a little bbq/get-together with some family and some of my mom's friends. Saturday is "Haylee's Day" (Haylee had a goal at the beginning of the school year to not miss any school the whole year. My mom told her for every month that she misses no school and no homework, she will get a special surprise. A month has passed, she attended every day of school and did all of her homework on time. My parents are taking her to Mulligan's and to see Kung-Fu-Panda on Saturday). Sunday, my parents, Bryan and I are going to Seaport Village in San Diego for a little birthday getaway with just the adults.
So as you can see.... I will be a very busy, busy bee this weekend! I'll try to update with pictures and blogs as much as possible this weekend!
Love,
Lex
