Merry - Belated - Christmas!

Oops, I am a little late! Oh well, better late than never, right? :]

December was quite the month of celebration for us! First, we had Makayla's 14th Birthday celebration at my parents house which was a total blast! Delicious food and great fun with family and friends! I cannot believe Kayla is only two years away from getting her drivers license, scary!!! On the 13th, we celebrated Christmas early with Grandpa and Nana (since they would be in Roseville for Christmas!) We had Grandpa's famous pancakes, lots of snacks and desserts! Everyone got such great gifts! I got the hair dryer/straightener set that I was dying for, plus some bath and body works wall flowers for my house!

Bryan and I went to Sea World to see what types of Holiday stuff they had out, and it was so much fun! Of course everything was decorated for Christmas, all of their shows were holiday themed and they had a Polar Express 4D Experience Show, which was totally awesome!

Then, of course, my parents, sisters and I had to go on our annual Christmas Light drive. We saw some of the most amazing houses ever this year! The people are so nice too! Here are some of the really good ones! :]

Christmas Eve was spent with my mom and sisters decorating sugar cookies, making peanut brittle and opening the traditional Christmas PJ's! Unfortunantely, Bryan and my dad were both at work and missed out on the fun festivities :[ Later that night, Bryan and I went over to his parents house for traditional Christmas dinner, dessert and presents. It was a lot of fun spending time with them and opening their wonderful gifts, and seeing them open our gifts to them. We received a waffle maker, a picture frame, gift cards, clothes, cologne, and some other stuff! It was a lot of fun! (Sadly, I forgot my camera that night so I am waiting for Tina to email me the pics from hers, same with my moms camera from the cookie decorating!)

This was mine and Bryans first Christmas together in our own place, so it was extremely special to us. We of course decorated and enjoyed having our own Christmas tree and all of that good stuff. We started by opening our boys gifts (bones, toys, collars, etc.) from "Santa" and then opened our gifts to each other. I got some clothes, shoes, decorations, a movie and a beautiful Pandora bracelet (its a charm bracelet)! Bryan got some clothes, books, and some new vans (and then I surprised him later at my moms house with a brand new iPod nano!) We went over to my parents house to spend the rest of Christmas with them, my sisters and Grandma Cathy! We all got some really nice gifts. Grandma was super tired so she headed home around 2pm, but of course we had such a good time with her! We went to dinner at Sushi Boat in Temecula and then went and saw Sherlock Holmes! We had such a good Christmas! I hope everyone else really enjoyed theirs too!

Our Christmas Tree & First Family Photos ! :)

We decided to use our timer on our camera to get some family photos in front of our first Christmas Tree! For some reason they came out blurry and the dogs were just not having it. But we also managed to take some with just me and the dogs and Bryan and the dogs, and those came out great. Of course, the first one was Bryan and Boston being silly! LOL.

Weight loss, exercise, great goals!

While being bored one night, I decided to look through some random blogs, I happened to come across a girls blog where she manages her calories and exercise statuses, plus all of her goals, and shares it with her followers. I have been following her blogs daily and I am really enjoying reading it! She is very inspirational and motivating (especially cause she is 115lbs!) Anyways, she develops goals for herself every month and posts them on her blog. I thought that I would share my 10 Goals for the rest of December with all of you. I will continuously update on my progress and will post new goals each month.

December Goals:
1. Run/Walk/Eliptical a total of 90 miles
2. Read 2 books to add to my book list
3. Get all of my no longer stuff needed sold/donated
4. Redo our office setup and get rid of the clutter!
5. Make 4 new healthy recipes to add to my recipe book! (If you have any good ones, send em' my way!)
6. Only eat out once!
7. Lose AT LEAST 5lbs!
8. Figure out a budget to pay off debt!
9. Donate at least $5 to a charity.
10. Begin saving for my dental work/braces!

So far, I have gone 2.6 miles on the eliptical. I am in the process of reading "True Believer" by Nicholas Sparks. I have listed my stuff on craigslist, but no responses yet, if no responses after Christmas then I will be taking it to the Salvation Army. Everything else is still being worked on! :)

Pumpkin Carving! :)

Bryan, Erika and I did some pumpkin carving on Friday night. Bryan and I had bought 2 large pumpkins for mine and his, and two smaller ones for Sampson and Boston. This is the first year that I have decided to do a pattern out of the pattern book! It actually came out pretty good for my first time. Erika and I carved the pups pumpkins - Bostons is a paw print & Sampson's is a bone. Bryan did his pumpkin with the skateboard brand, Flip! It looks pretty cool.

My mom and I went and bought some stuff to make our own Halloween Wreaths! This is how my turned out! I love it, so cool and spooky! It hangs inside of my apartment because I don't trust people not to steal it outside, plus I don't want the weather ruining it! :) & it cost under $10 to make!

Wow! It has been a long time ...

I definitely have been missing my blogging lately. I really need to catch everyone up on whats going on in the world of me! First off, Bryan and I are eng
aged, yay!!!! He proposed to me a few weeks ago, and we are in the process of picking a date and all of that good, fun stuff! Secondly, Bryan is now working at Radio Shack & we are still in the apartment. Thats pretty much all thats going on in the life if Bryan and Lex. I am still in school, just finished my Geography class and getting ready to start my Psychology class. I am doing really well in all of my classes.

October is a super busy month for us - since we have so many birthdays, events, and things going on!
October 12th - Ron
nies Bday
October 16th - Going to Universal Studios Horror Nights w/ Alyssa & Chase
October 17th - The Youngs House Warming Party
October 24th - Our Birthday Get Together @ The Youngs
October 25th - Sea World w/ the Fam
October 29th-November 1st - Sacramento Trip for our Birthdays!

These next couple of months are going to be outrageous!!!

Here are some new pictures of my new hair! My best friend, Erika, did it for me - she is in cosmetology school, and did such a great job! It is red with black low peek-a-boos, I love it! & I am also extremely obsessed with red lipstick! HAHAHA.

Two Part Post

This is the other side of the stadium. Insane how many people come!
This is the band Skillet performing.
It was there 20th Year Anniversary of Harvest.
This is the stage during the day. Its awesome! Love the colors!

Just smiling :)

The Harvest Crusade couldn't have came at a better time this year! As most of you probably already know, Bryan resigned from his job at Datatronics. Sadly, there were just too many problems going on with Nate, and Bryan just couldn't handle it any longer. We are definitely so much happier (even with im being unemployed at the moment) and we know that everything is going to work itself out and that everything happens for a reason. Anyways, because Bryan is not working right now we have been trying to save our money and not spend anything. So in doing so, we were really contemplating spending the gas to go to Harvest. After much consideration, we finally decided that we definitely need to go because no matter how much gas it takes to get there, we need God the most right now.

Man am I glad that we went. It was absolutely amazing. We got there 2 hours early so that we could get a good spot in line, which paid off because we were a few rows closer then we were the last couple of years. Two of our favorite Christian bands played this year, Relient K and Skillet. Their lives performances were awesome! Greg Lauries message really opened my eyes some more, and helped me to see that God loves us no matter what we are going through. I have never prayed so much in my life, as I did last night. It was amazing and I am so happy with our decision to go.

We have already decided on what our plan of action is going to be now that Bryan is unemployed. We are breaking our lease here at the apartment and we are moving back in with my parents for the time being. Bryan is almost 100% sure that he will be getting his job at McDonalds back, but he is also going to be applying at other places such as Geek Squad. He will also be getting some more hours at his other job, The Wheelhouse, which will be nice because he loves working there. After Bryan establishes some work history with a new company, we will begin to look at buying a house again. For now though, my parents will be helping us and we will be helping them... which is what family is all about. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family that cares so much about me, and that I know would do anything for me... and vice versa. I am so thankful that Bryan is finally happy and that he no longer has to work somewhere he does not enjoy. I am so thankful for life in general. Even though things are tough right now, I know we will get through them with the help of God and our families.

Little behind...Sorry!

Friday night of my moms birthday weekend, my dad had asked Bryan and I if we could come over and hang out with the girls while he took my mom to dinner. Of course I loved this idea, so I agreed :) We brought her her gifts that night, and then her and my dad took off for "Love Boat" a very nice, yummy sushi restaurant. While they were out on their date, we decided to have a Jurassic Park Marathon with the girls, we got through 2 of 3. It was fun. My mom received 3 of the Sookie Stackhouse books (the ones of the True Blood series), some Victorias Secret Perfume, Lotion and Body Spray, my dad got her some new tennis shoes and my sisters made her cards :)

Saturday, Grandma took my mom to Sams Club to pick up some stuff to get for "Birthday Taco Night." Bryan and I got to my parents house at around 2:30pm. We had delicious tacos, played SkipBo, and just talked and hung out. Danielle and the kids came over around 7:30 to spend some time with my mom for a bit, they left around 10pm.

To finish up my moms birthday weekend, we decided to take advantage of our Sea World passes. Bryan has just recently got his, so this was his first time there since he was little. Which made it even cooler, since we were celebrating my moms birthday and showing Bryan around :) We did the basic stuff, Shamu show, dolphin show, manatees, etc. It was really fun and it was a beautiful day! It really made my moms birthday weekend super special.

Needless to say, my moms birthday weekend was very special and I know that she enjoyed herself very much! Sadly, we totally didn't take any pictures on Friday or Saturday. And my moms was the camera girl on Sunday, so we have no pictures of the birthday girl on her birthday weekend. Sorry mama! :(
