Meet Miss. Chanel :]

This past weekend, Bryan and I went to visit his mom for a couple hours. She was telling us about a friend of hers that had this thing called a "Devu" (a little rodent thing that is small like a mouse, but looks like a gerbil) and she was giving them away for free. Well I asked my parents if I could get one, and they said yes. We called up the lady and she informed us that "these are not nice animals, they are not to be taken out of the cage and played with." :( Wellllll, I was really set on getting a cute little mouse thing so we went over to Petsmart to look at what they had. That is when I met Miss. Chanel :] She was soooo sweet, right off the bat, and we took her home that day! She has a cute little green cage (which we bought a "Chanel" sticker for and were going to bedazzle it with some jewels.) She is between 4 and 6 months old, and she will get a bit bigger. Once she grows a bit more, we will have to buy her a bigger cage - but for now, her starter cage is doing just fine. We have yet to buy her a ball to run around in, but so far, she is loving her new home. Grandma even came and took a peek at her, SHOCKER!!!! My sisters love her, and my mom thinks shes "cute," and of course Bryan and I are in love with her<3

Anyways, we will keep you updated on how shes doing!

Hi Lex and Bryan, She's actually kind of cute. Which is a really odd statement for me to make because, as you probably know, I'm not a huge fan of rodents (sorry, Chanel). But she has nice coloring (thank god she's not all white with red buggy eyes!) and I bet she'll be lots of fun! Love, Auntie Kristen

I havent held her yet....that will take some time. He "tiny lil hands" and "big ol fat long tail" kinda creep me out but her face is cute and I'm sure eventually I will hold her. Lex and Bryan are very excited to have her and so are the girls.... just what we need, another animal to take care of. We must be nuts!!

Hey Guys,
You know how I am about those things. Glad you finally got one. I do have to say her name is cute. Remember when you get her a ball to roll around in that it as a really good lock, if not she might fall out and get lost in your house. With my luck she'd end up on my lap. Major heart attack.

Hey Lex & Bry,
She's totally cute!! Ask your mom if she remembers what I did with a cross-eyed cat named "Boots and a cute distant relative of Chanels? I've always Loved little critters. Have fun with her and remember- some dogs like to eat little critters like Chanel so be careful, Love Nana

Funny thing is that we have "RAT TERRIERS".... hence the name RAT, and they are known for catching mice and rats.... go figure!! Well the girls are getting a Rabbit today so we are starting to feel like Dr. Doolittle. Hahaha!! I will post some pictures of him this weekend when I'm off. He's really cute (black and white)...not sure of the name yet.
